Martin de Candre wooden bowl

does the wooden bowl for $80 come with soap, or it out the bowl only?

just bought it then realized it could only be the bowl without the soap

Pretty sure it comes with the soap.... but I've never actually purchased it that way.... only in the glass jar with the screw top. I think you're safe but maybe someone else can confirm.

A great piece of art, the soap in the wooden bowl. Almost too good to use I thought. I've had both the bowl and the glass jar. The downside to the bowl is that it isn't covered and the scent does fade a little, despite storing in a sealed container.

Of course it comes with the soap. Who in cotton picking hell doesn't just advertise but actually sells empty wood bowls for $80? :biggrin1:

The second I made my post, I knew that some Google scholar would counter with an $80+ wood bowl. :glare: I should've clarified by saying "plain, cheap wood bowls".

Point being, yes hedonist, the soap comes with the bowl.

You are being terribly rude in response to a very valid question.

OP - thank you for asking as I know you aren't the only chap who has wondered about the same.

OP
it comes with soap and bowl, but immediately on receipt, you must send the soap to me which I've paid for in a separate transaction.
Enjoy it, Sir. I've been tempted to buy the brain bowl but just don't have the smarts to do it.

I'll likely never get to order a "Brain Bowl".

I still have 2 untouched, sealed 170g Jars of Scented to work thru

Brain Bowl always make me laugh..I love the look. the 1st pic looks a bit low, most i've seen even come with more then that (as seen in a pic a few posts up)

Actually, that's a good question. In a separate thread I was noting that my Acqua Di Parma seems to last tow to three times as long as any of my other creams, which leads me to believe that the $65 price tag is not that out of line. Does MdC offer a similar economy of scale?

So how many years to you get out of the brain bowl if you use it daily? Two, three, four??? That is a lot of soap.

Thanks gents.

Thats what kept throwing me off. The "brain" paert of it.

In all the above images, it looks like it was an empty bowl in which someone lathered soap/cream.

Normally the very top of a brand new puck of is flat (like DR Harris, Trumpers & even the Martin dC in the glass jar above).

Why is the soap in wooden bowl frothy?
