Mandatory Photography class!

I declare there should be a mandatory photography class for EvilBay.

Last night for my continued razor educaion I searched Ebay for Gillette adjustables. There were lots of slims and fat boys of varying quality.

What I couldn't believe is that 80% of the photos of razors were either out of focus or dark,.......or BOTH!

Now I'm no genius but if the posting looks like a professional Ebayer and their photos are all out of focus or dark then something is likely amuck. Funny how the photos here are normally quite sharp. Go figure.

Oh, well I'm stating the obvious to all here I bet. I was merely trying to get an idea what an excellent/like new slim was going for. A lot of those out of focus pics looked liked they were trying to hide brass peeking through the chrome.

While I suspect that you are right about a small percentage of people there posting purposefully obscure pictures, I think the vast majority are just because people are too lazy to do a decent job of it.

Never blame on deviousness what you can easily attribute to complacency.

One might say writing such a thing off to complacency would be, in fact, complacent, hmm? I say we hire private investigators to research, in the interest of not perpetuating half-assitude. =P

I don't shop on the bay for personal reasons but I can't imagine it's difficult to get proper lighting on a photo. It's not like it's wasting film or anything, and if it looks better, chances are people will be willing to pay more for it.

I know what you mean. I'm just saying that it actually takes more work to get a good photo with good equipment and lighting or to get a purposefully obscure photo than it does to snap a quick pic with a Phone Camera and throw it up.
Just my opinion, but - Whenever there is more than one possible explanation for an event, the one that involves laziness is the more likely culprit.

Never work to blame on deviousness what you can easily attribute to complacency. There now it's more tongue in cheek.
