Magic Bullet

Isn't it just a baby food processor? I'm afraid that it would be too one-demensional to deserve counter space in my small kitchen.

I don't have that much room, and hear they are great for making individual smoothies.

If all you want is smoothies, it's great. But the other stuff it's advertised to do, it doesn't do very well, if at all.

I do love the infomercial, complete with the older lady in her housecoat and cigarette hanging out of her mouth, and the hungover guy. That fake couple sure does have a diverse group of fake friends and neighbors.

I have one and it is absolutely fantastic! The wife and I use it for everything from mixing a small smoothy to grinding small amounts of whole corn and wheat berries into flour. Have had ours for about 3 yrs with no problems.

The wife's investment
My wife got a cheap knock off and we really liked it, but it broke. I told her to just get the Magic Bullet, since she has been using the other one every day for six months. However, she got a different knock off and that one was an even bigger piece of crap.

I saw that Target had the Magic Bullet for about $45 and suggested we get one there. I also had to get some new tires at Sears yesterday and while waiting I saw that they had the MB for about $50, but what I really liked was this Kenmore Stand Blender.

The one I bought was on a clearance rack that was either a display or was used and had no box. I snagged it for $16. This thing is heavier duty than the MB and it really works great. I know my wife will use it and would have paid full price for one in the box, but this deal was too good to pass up.

It doesn't have as many containers, but it has one that is a full quart that works like a normal blender. Cleanup is much easier than a full size blender and it takes up very little of our small apartment kitchen counter space.

I have a MB! My wife got it last week for the sole purpose of making baby food for our 6 month old son. We got it (with a gift card we had leftover from the baby shower) at Bed Bath & Beyond. It works perfectly for our use. Try making 3oz of pureed steamed carrots in a normal blender. My wife also uses it to make single serving fruit smoothies for breakfast for herself (which is well before I'm awake, so it's not overly noisy either).

With three kids and each with diffrent tastes, the MB is great for just that. They make smooties just about every day, each one different.

I enjoy protien shakes and the MB is super quick after a workout.

I'd say it is not much good for anything else though.

from what i hear, aslong as the food touches the blades, its all cool, but that is a difficult objective, since it flys to the side and you have to open and scoop the sides all the time,

My dad bought one a while ago. It's good for salad dressings and smoothies, that's about it. I'd take a cheap immersion blender over it any day though.

It will not crush ice, so if that's in your plans for it don't bother.
