Made some more Micarta scales

This time i used black denim.



I went for my same routine as last time(resin,clamp,cut,sand etc)

And this is what i got.



Now i just have to find blades for them.

Maybe you could put some lacquer on them n call em "snakeskin"....cool looking material

I always liked funky material and things in life.

This micarta thing is cool because you don't really know what the end product will look like.

But different always.

Might consider making the spacers more wedgy - to get the scales to bow out more.

You are 100% correct.

I just get so intimidated when it comes out to making the wedge that it drives me bananas.

If i try to make them wedgy so many times the scales get so unaligned when i put the blade in it drives me crazy.

For me that wedge part of making scales is the hardest part to learn.
