So I had never really got into aftershave splashes till a few days ago when my local CVS had a clearance and I got AV and Skin Bracer for $1 each. I always just used Nivea aftershave splash and balms, which has no menthol.
I absolutely love the menthol in them, but I didn't like the musk scent of Skin Bracer and I felt like I smelled like a cheap pimp with AV.
Don't get me wrong, they both work great, but I just don't like wearing scents around all day, not even from cologne or deodorant.
I decided I wanted the menthol, but without the scent. I ordered some menthol crystals from Amazon and decided to make my own with plain witch hazel.
I bought three bottles of witch hazel from Walmart. After getting the crystals dissolved I did a test splash and it was amazing. Amazing until my eyes started watering and my skin burning, but it did feel good and cool. After cutting it with plain witch hazel and repouring it, it was perfect.
I now have three 16oz bottles of extreme menthol blast witch hazel for a total cost of $12.
I highly encourage anyone who likes menthol but doesn't like the smell of other products to try this.
