Maca root shaving cream

doctordial

my brain goes "thonk"
Has anyone tried the maca root shave cream from the bath and body shop? I think that's who sells it. If so I'd like to get opinions on it.

For me, the Maca Root cream performs as well as any cream I've tried. Some don't care for the smell, but I like everything about this one.

fantastic performance, the smell you may or may not warm up to later. If you have a problem with drying up, this junk will moisturize the crap out of your face. great for dry weather.

Nothing wrong with Maca Root at all. In fact, they normally give out healthy-sized samples if you ask. A great way to try before you buy!

[YMMV]
I love the scent, not a big fan of the performance though. To me, it smells spring flowers but not sweet, similar scent to Lily of the Valley.
[/YMMV}

I think it's a very good cream - and one of my friends swears by it as the best he's got. I also think the one sold down here in Australia is more a brushless cream, as it doesn't lather up the way a typical lathering cream does - but I note that many others have posted here that they lather it with a brush.

Down here in Australia, there are several even better performing locally made brushless creams which cost a lot less than the Body Shop Macca Root one, but that may not be the case in other parts of the world.

Renato

It's a fantastic cream with excellent performance. I think it's on par with the T&H creams. If you're patient, The Body Shop often has sales where you can get their products for as much as 50% off.

I find it a middle of the road cream. Scent is a little mediocre for me but the performance is above average, protective and moisturizing.

I have a tub of this cream; I don't think it's "brushless" per se (like the Dermalogica or Neutrogena creams for example). It lathers quite well in a bowl with my Omega 6218 or C&E/EJ BBB (or even the Tweezerman). While I'm not a huge fan of the rooty vegetable-like scent, it does perform fairly well when it comes to cushion and glide (I use carts), and moisturises quite OK too.

That said, I do find it overpriced in Australia; AU$24.95 (US$ 22 or so) for the big (200ml/6.3oz 180g) tub is quite a bit of coin considering I can get a tub of Proraso croap for anywhere between AU$12-17...

I have also found this to be the case. I bought a tube in Paris whilst on holidays recently. I'm yet to use it, but will in the coming weeks to see if there is a difference.

I bought it some weeks ago. I didnt care for the scent at all and the protectiveness was beyond awful in my opinion. (Compared to Musgo Real, Trumpers Coconut etc etc.)

After a few bad shaves from the maca root, I have stayed away from it. I mean, when I have stocked my den with great creams, why return to a poor product? YMMV

Great cream, dont like the smell to mutch but performes well. I like it alot. but i have to many creams and soaps lol. I use brush and bowl.

Maca cream is all that people have suggested. It easily makes great lather, and moisturizes well. I have no issue with the scent, sort of like a forest or meadow.
