Lucky Tiger Aftershave

Saw this at the local beauty supply next to the pinaud products, has anyone tried it & if so can you provide some feedback? Also is this the same as the Lucky Tiger brand that is sold in the old timey brown glass bottles as well? They also carry the Hair tonic & I think a musk.....

That is part of the original line of Lucky Tiger. The brown bottle is their modern line. The original line is quite good. It is heavy in alcohol if you like the sort of thing. The original line is actually cheaper than the new line. It's worth the price.

I don't personally share Austin's enthusiasm for the LT line. Everything I've tried by them has an overly chemical scent that I'm not too fond of. The "metro" line (glass bottle modern stuff) is a little bit better in my opinion, but still not worth the price.

I use that stuff every day. I really like it, and so does my wife. Its very high in alchohol and let's you know if you rushed your shave.

I have used it and I found it very similar to the Lustray Blue Spice if that tells you anything. I don't know how much it was where you saw it, but very inexpensive trough Appleton Barber Supply. As stated above, it is high in alcohol. It also dries down to a very nice powdery, barbershoppy scent, similar to Jeris talc if you're familiar with that.
It's a light, subtle, scent with very little staying power so it won't clash with any other fragrances you might follow with.

FYI, the brown bottles aren't glass. They're quite plastic. Call me a nitpicker, but it's that kind of little slip of a detail that causes a bunch of people to start wondering if there's a third line of Lucky Tiger products, because all they can find are the brown plastic bottles instead of the glass ones, and are the ones in the glass bottles different and maybe better than the ones in the plastic bottles, and can we please help them find the glass ones because they'd much rather have the glass ones than the plastic ones. Better to nip that train in the bud before it sails from the hangar.

My LT Bay Rum Toner and regular Aftershave Face Tonic are very much in glass. They were purchased when the line was first revitalized two or three years ago. If they are now in plastic, I wasn't aware.

First off, let me clarify that I was speaking only of the upscale modern line that used to be sold at Nordstrom and is now sold at Ulta and through Caswell Massey. I have no knowledge of the other "classic" line. When you say "regular Aftershave Face Tonic," are you referring to this? If so, that's interesting that it used to be in glass. Like you, I was unaware of the change, only the other way around. I got my bottle in the fall of '06, and it was plastic. I was at Ulta within the last month, and the current bottles haven't changed any from what mine is in. Too bad they changed it to begin with. The plastic is alright, but the glass sounds much nicer.

That's the one. I purchased mine off of Amazon after reading about it (no joke) in Men's Health. It was probably around the summer or fall of '06. As far as I know the "classic" line has always been plastic. (At least, since it was "re-launched").

That one's worth refilling if you ever get around to getting another one.
