What's new

Lucky Mince !

Ran across this yesterday in a local antique store. New in box from France, although the case has marks from long time storage.Shaves brutally close ! BBS is almost guaranteed with this little whacker. Not much pressure needed,it really cuts close. The handle is solid brass and has good weight to it,much better than die cast. The 2 piece head is light and thin with formidable blade exposure.Blades are unopened, and I will keep them that way,the razor takes standard DE blades .Never saw this brand before, looks like something from the 60's or 70's.

Does it say anything under the blade base plate?

I find that all of my French razors are close shavers so I am not surprised that yours is also.....

...NO....Nothing on any parts or the case, only the blades, and I am sure these are the original, and correct blades.I'm now 8 hours into the shave, and my mug is still smooth !

Nice find. I too think I'd leave a package of razor blades with the word 'mince' on the box unopened. The manufacturer was slicing trademark laws pretty thin with that packaging. It looks an awful lot like the Lucky Strike cigarette package labeling. Anybody else old enough to know what LSMFT stands for?

Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobaccos

Mmm thought the case looked familiar ............:confused1
Same as yours unknown French razor, but mine is an O/C ........and boy this one removes hair and skin if you are not careful. Don't use this one anymore as prefer razors with a bit less bite...........I now use a fair few Straights.....:001_tt2:

That razor comes from the same factory for sure.I have had to styptic a few times while getting used to the razor. For such a light razor it cuts unbelievably close, you really have to reduce the pressure.Great shaves, super close.Never saw those blades as well, nice graphics on the package.

Nice find! Did you try the blades as well? I tried a pack and have another one unopened around and I thought they were horrible. They also don't perfectly fit every DE because in some the blade snapped when I tightened the razor. But the razor is a nice find indeed.
