LOST SHAVEMAC-D01 custom two band

Ordered a custom D01 2 band the middle of Sept.It was shipped via federal express 9/27.Last fed express update was 10/5"cleared customs" Memphis hub.Brush is now reported lost in either customs,fish and wild life or federal express.
Needless to say I am greatly p.o. and wondered if any other members have had similar experiences and how thy were resolved.Countless phone calls to federal express and to Mr. Blos @Shavemac have not resolved this yet.

I've had things "lost" twice, though by USPS and not FedEx. Both times the stuff did show up, much later. But again, it was regular mail and not FedEx.

I recently had a brush from China get lost in the mail for a month. Its a hard situation, as the maker did their part, and you did too, but you still dont have the brush. My maker was kind enough to give me a refund until the original brush finally showed up a month later. I paid again, as it was odviously not his fault. At any rate, the best thing you can do is be patient, and hope it shows up. Do what you can do to communicate, and if if you have any buyer protection on the item, make sure to take action on that before time runs out. Though, to be honest I'd give them as much time as you can with out that protection running out (45 days with Paypal).

given that the brush was shipped out and fedex lost it, the vendor really does not have an obligation to do anything about it. we have some great vendors here that are more than happy to help out and provide refunds in some cases. but really, this is more on fedex than anything. given them some time. i've had a package lost for 2 months before it showed up randomly after i'd given up on it. it's unfortunate and i feel your frustration. hopefully it arrives to you soon.

I am sorry to hear that Joe. I know waiting for a custom brush will make you crazy. I too had a custom Shavemac disappear in customs for a while
I think all of the custom guys took it home and shaved with it, hehe. Anyhow it showed up about a month later.
This is not typical though, I ordered a 2 band D01 on October 1st and I just got it today.

What is FedEx telling you, besides it's lost? Are they telling you they're liable, will reimburse Bernd, etc.? Has FedEx initiated a trace? If so, they should have given you a case number. If they won't give it to you or initiate a trace action, then have Bernd make contact with FedEx.

Did Bernd insure the package? What is Bernd telling you - will he cover it, will he not cover, etc.?

Did you use a credit card to pay? Some credit cards automatically cover loss, as they provide insurance.

If a claim against FedEx is to go forward. . .Bernd has to initiate it. It's his account.

I avoid FedEx as much as possible. . .unfortunately, Bernd uses them. I've had more problems with them than any other carrier. IMHO, FedEx = Incompetent Idiots. YMMV. lol

I had the EXACT same situation. I contacted Fedex and they told me that I needed to complete a form (which they emailed to me) stating that I was an individual and not a corporation buying the brush for resale. They also told me that it was possible that the parcel could be held up for weeks at Fish & Wildlife. As it turned out, Fish & Wildlife held it for only about 2 - 3 days. Hopefully, the delay will be minimal for you too. I was really frustrated when it happened.

Thanks B and B members.The dead badger has been found by Federal express!!It has been held up by fish and wild life for 7 days.They claim it was released today and it's on it's continued journey to South Florida.
That would make it a one month turn around from initial order to delivery.Almost rivals my MDC order.Thanks for the support!!

That's good news Joe. They usually tern up eventually, but such delays are agravating.
By the way, what size knot did you get?
I just finished my first shave with the D01 double band I received today. It is a really scrubby little brush, but I like scrubby. It is a 20mm knot and I am thinking that should have gone a little larger. I is great for getting the mustache area though.
I hope you get yours soon.

Went with the 26mm,bulb shape.I can't wait to put it to the test with creams and soaps.
