Looking for scale patterns

As many of you know I own a small laser. I am currently looking for scale patterns to cut on my machine.

If anyone has any please let me know. They can be as simple as a scale traced and then scanned. I can do the conversation work from there.

Thoughts, ideas?

I have sent an email with some tracings I've done of my razor scales. Hope it is what you where looking for and that they help. I have marked on them what size blade is in those scales.

Can you cut completely through with your laser or is the depth limited?

I've seen various designs cut through that look really cool.

Ive some different sized scales ive popped off razors I can scan for you. Ill try and get them done tomorrow, mate.

Yes I can, mine will cut up to 3/4" with a single pass on woods, acrylics, and such. 1/2" on bone and shell.
Of course I can cut thicker materials with multiple passes.
1/8" for scale material is a piece of cake. It cuts nice and clean.

This was 1/8" curly maple I was messing around with just to see.
Note: I just tossed the pin hole on there, it was not scaled or located for any certain reason...again just messing around.

I ulso underset the blow by so it discolored the edges. Just a touch with some paper and it is gone.
Acrylics, Carbon Fiber and Micarta come clean.

Looks like a clean cutting laser.I have a question though.Would you cut a set of scales for someone if they sent you the pattern.If so how much would you charge cause I'd be interested in some carbon fiber ones for my chopper.

Of course. I am always looking to use the laser and work for people.

At the moment I can't quote you the cost. If it was a standard pattern that I had it would be simple. A custom pattern requires a ton of work on my end and standard programming and production/material fees would apply.

My goal here is to create a library of pattern/template files and then carry a list of stock material, then cut to order at a very low price.
