Looking for an Italian cologne

Gents, I have been racking my brain for the past month trying to remember an Italian cologne from the 60's or 50's. It's still sold today. It is not Puig or Rochas. The scent is soapy. Who knows?

Maliza Uomo?

Pino Silvestre?

Acqua di Selva?

Capucci?

That's it. Thank you.

I am wearing Acca Kappa White Moss today, another Italian cologne. It reminds me of ADS quite a bit. It also reminds me of my father. We wore ADS or Bay Rum on Fridays before he went out with his friends.

I will have to order some.

You are welcome.

It's great stuff:thumbup:

The Acqua di Selva is a truly great cologne. This was my signature scent at one time. It's a strong scent though, or maybe a better way of putting it is that it lingers.

^as excellent a green/mossy/citrus scent as the original Armani eau pour homme is, I believe it was inspired in part by another, lighter, Italian green/mossy/citrus scent...

Sisley's Eau De Campagne

In the Campagne region, lemons, plums, aromatic herbs, pelargonium, tomato, etc, are grown extensively, and this scent is JC Ellena's masterful & most natural interpretation of that smell, many have described it as "greenhouse", and I don't disagree, but feel that description cannot do it justice. Eau De Campagne, my favorite italian scent, is also imo the greatest "green" scent ever created. Of which many scents, Armani eau ph included, owe their lineage imo.

Great price. It reads:

rosemary, carnation and vetiver, the base of this fragrance is musk, tonka and cedarwood

All I'm getting from the descriptions here, though, is green, pine, forest. I wonder about the vetiver, floral notes in this one.
