Looking for a soap to replace Col Conk's

I've been using Col. Conk's but have been looking for something much better. I'm considering Saint Charle's Shave Bay Rum scent, but ... can't find it. I can direct order it from SaintCharlesShave.com for $6 a puck... that may say something about the $3 stuff I'm using now.

Thoughts? Worth the coin? It's not like I don't have an extravagant amount of money; it's just I can spend an extravagant amount of money on crap while the real good stuff might be 50 cents.

I think ordering from Sue is the only way to get the SCS soap, unless you happen to live in Saint Charles, MO.

Shaving soaps are very subjective things. But if you like bay rum scent, her shaving soap is, in my opinion, excellent and well worth the 6 dollars. I just finished a puck up, and as soon as I deplete some other soaps and creams (damn AD's..),I'll be getting more for sure.

hmm, I'm not that far from St. Chuck. Does Sue have brick/mortar storefront, local pick up option?

You can buy a puck of Honeybee Spa soap for, I believe, $3.99. Check the reviews section and I think you'll see it ought to be well worth it.

You could also get a sample puck of something from The Gentleman's Quarter. Very nice scents/soaps and the sample puck is pretty good sized.

Noted. $6 is in the upper price tier, it's easy to lose value up there since you don't have to have a crap product... just a decent one at an exuberant price. I'll grab a Bay Rum and New Spice puck, and perhaps one for a friend then. A friend that likes the Fusion... it's funny he can't make a Fusion blade outlast the week, he KNOWS when those things go bad (I know so many people that shave every day on one blade for 2-3 months... they still remove hair! Five freaking blades!).

Heh I should disinfect some of my DEs and pass them around later.
