Hello All. I've started looking for a small wooden drawer that I can sit ontop of my vanity cabinet that I can keep extra razors, blades and misc shaving stuff in and sit the razor, soap, cup and brush on top. I reckon it'd need to be about 8" to 10" wide, 5" to 6" deep and 3" to 4" tall. Does anyone know if such a thing exists and where I might get one?

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but you can go to a tobacco shop and find a nice cigar box or two in all sorts of shapes and sizes for a few dollars at most. Who knows, they might just give you one if you tell them that it's for wet-shaving using a brush and mug. Most tobacconists love that type of stuff.

Hmmmm. I might give that a try. A cigar box size is about right but I haven't ever seen one with a drawer. All the ones I've ever bought or seen have a flip top lid. Still, very worth a try. Thanks for the tip.
I was afraid the lack of a drawer might the dealbreaker for you. I was thinking if you are placing your equipment on top of it, that you would take it off the top whilst using it, hopefully making the lid on the top not a problem. I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I think I've seen one or two that have a slide out box. If you'd like, the next time I'm out and about, I'll see if I can locate one for you and send it to you.

OK, NOT trying to highjack the thread.... but 
I need something like this ONLY BIGGER (where did I hear that before?)
like a medicine cabinet but free-standing--
to simply set on my bathroom counter top--- with a door that opens, and maybe a drawer or two--
that would contain a rack for all of my razors nicely displayed, and perhaps a place for my Gentleman Jack--- uh, OK, no, not really, (hmm-mm?)
I've seen the make shift test tube holder, and they are OK, but, damn it we CAN do better can't we now---
anyone?

what seems to be described here in either case is a valet. either a desktop or dresser valet or a valet cabinet.

Sounds like a jewelry box. I recall on . . .but not certain if the drawers were tall enough to hold a DE

My wife bought a woven basket with a lid from World Market. The basket allows for air circulation. Mine isn't quite like the link but maybe if you went to the store if one is near. Mine is 11x11x4 and holds three Old Spice mugs and four razors (Futur, Chatsworth, HD, Tech).

After having a look around on eBay (Australia, USA and UK), I might save my pennies and get myself a smoking cabinet to put my shaving gear in. They seem to be a good size and it means I've got plenty of room to grow the collection.
Gerstner makes fabulous wooden toolboxes and similar products such as jewelry chests. They have a men's dresser valet that sounds like what the OP was asking for:
