On the cheap:
The Nivea stuff is a bit greasy IMHO, but works well in wintertime. For the summer, I like Neutrogena face lotion/ASB. It has SPF 20 and completely prevents the minor burning and irritation that invariably happens when outdoors during the warm months.
Both are about 5 bucks a bottle, so they won't run you broke.
