Looking for a butterscotch handle

Like the subject says I have been looking around for a badger brush with butterscotch handle but it seems as though brush makers don't make them in this color anymore.

I stumbled across the post about the B&B LE brush being butterscotch. Is this a limited edition B&B brush that's going to be available soon? If so, I'm going to hold out until then and just keep using my Omega boar until this becomes available.

My understanding is that the new B&B brush will, in fact, be a limited edition brush and that it will be butterscotch. So, you could potentially hold out. I don't know how many brushes they will be making and I don't know if there's a wait list, and I don't know how much it will cost.

I've noticed the issue of butterscotch handles arise on B&B from time to time. Just curious, what's all the hoopla over it? I really don't find the color all that attractive but I do like butterscotch on my ice cream fwiw.

Honestly, I don't know. I can't really tell why everyone else wants one, but I happen to really like the color. It actually goes fairly well with the color of the wooden scales on my SR. I just can't seem to find any brushes with this color handle.

Butter is good, scotch is better, butterscotch on ice cream is great, but butterscotch badger brush with my SR would be fantastic!

I was the same didn't get the attraction of them till I actually found one :w00t:

There's just something about the look and feel of them that say "vintage"

Coupled with the fact that my research shows that these things didn't start off Butterscotch, they started off ivory white however some chemical reaction turns them butterscotch, to me just makes them more appealing.

YMMV :001_tongu

yes the 09 will be butterscotch, yes it will be worth the wait, yes it will be worth the dough (~150ish)

no, its not here yet

I'm going to wait it out for sure. I just hope I'll be able to lock one in if there is a waiting list as another poster mentioned. Everything else seems cool to me. The wait, the price, and especially the color... ;)

Ah I think I understand. Retro. Fascinating.

i was going to wait for the new brush as well, until I saw one at a local antique shop. Guess I'll have two now :)

I went to some antique shops today actually but didn't find any brushes. I did find 3 razors though I didn't jump on them. One was a gold safety razor the brand was Aveil (not sure of spelling). It was a 2 piece razor and I would have picked it up but the head sported a different mechanism than the standard blades. It had little gears that when you pushed on a little lever on the head the gear would turn to open and close the doors (hard to describe). The other two razors were straight razors. One was a Torrey with wooden scales the blade looked like it was in good shape. The other razor was a razor with the name Cara on it and some stars. The blade was actually sharp it cut the merchant who was showing it to me. Like I said I didn't jump on any but that's what I found.

Penworks has one but I don't think the whole thing is in butterscotch.
