Excuse the blurry shot, but I bought this from Kijiji. I just finished polishing it with Autosol and it has really shined up well, despite the age of the mirror.
It is an Apollo shaving mirror from 1916. I took the mirror out and the date was printed on the back. There is some pitting, and some of the plating (chrome or nickel) is coming off on the base but it really is in very good condition. The mirror itself, is in excellent condition. It is missing a set screw for the height adjustment.
It has a metal bowl on one side with a milk glass bowl nested inside it and a holder for a brush. The brush is an Albright Rubberset and it needs a new knot. Anybody have suggestions on what knot I should use?
Thanks for looking.
