Loft size for FS finest

Thinking about buying a Frank shaving finest badger in 22mm knot and need recommendations for loft size. I mainly bowl lather with creams but like to use circular strokes on face. I would appreciate loft suggestions.

From your description I would set it at 50mm, but if your tastes lean towards a brush with a bit more splay than backbone I would say 55mm. Frank's finest hairs are thick and resilient so I wouldn't expect it to be floppy at either setting.

I see that some of the Frank Finest are advertised as "Manchurian" badger. Any idea of the difference between Manchurian and regular finest badger?

I have the Manchurian knot in one of my restorations and do not detect any differences. I haven't done back to back testing though so I should do that before giving you a definitive answer.

For myself, I wouldn't go above 50-51mm loft with a 22mm knot.
