Loccitane Store 50% off sale

Barely a worthwhile deal in there IMHO. I was at the King of Prussia mall today and no mens goods were on sale except the shave kit. Oh well.

I'm going to take my chances at the store. I'm heading to the mall as soon as Mrs. Sullybob is ready.

Frankly, they have enough stuff that I like that I will need to show lots of restraint.

I broke down and bought the soap bowl today along with another bottle of the CADE shower gel (my wife got me some for Christmas and it's phenomenal). It's going to be an all-CADE week in my household...

I went to a L'Occittane store today and got the aluminum dish and a refill puck. The dish was 20% off. Still $22 and change. I was expecting the bowl to come with some soap in it. I got it home, opened it up, and empty. Good thing I got extra. I'm looking forward to trying the soap. I find the $22 (marked down from $28) empty dish pretty humorous. They got me. Dish's made in China to boot.

The bowl is still a tad pricey, I agree, but it looks nice and I couldn't resist. I just tell myself that if people keep buying their shaving stuff, they'll keep making it and selling it and we can all benefit. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :biggrin1:

Holy crap. I always had trouble justifying the bowl at $28 and assumed it did have a puck in it. Now that I know that it both doesn't have a puck and the aluminum bowl is made in China...I have no problems not purchasing it.

Maybe I'll get a puck of soap from them some time, but man are those prices are outrageous. I was just looking at this synthetic travel brush...but presume it is also made in China:

I use to feel the same way about the bowl....until I tried the soap and got it right :w00t:. The soap was so good I felt that it was only right to have the matching bowl :tongue_sm It's not necessary but it sure is nice. Believe it or not the bowl is surprisingly well made. The lid fits precisely and you get a nice little *** dinnnggg *** when you remove the lid. The bowl is awesome my friend...but it's definitely not necessary.

I bought their travel brush (in banded boar, I think...perhaps a previous version?) on the B/S/T last May. It is seriously one of my best brushes! It has both a nice stiffness and a softness to it that I love.

I don't know how the synthetic version is, but I'm tempted to try it if I find it on sale.

Just cleaned out the Downtown Seattle store of CADE Splash last night.

The new bowl is different than the original, as the original would rust. (I talked to the manager for a couple minutes... Pretty manager...) The new design is meant to last for decades.

Also, they haven't received word that the CADE Splash is actually discontinued, they just have not been provided with fresh stock in a great deal of time. She's seen this before when a change in packaging occurred. I stocked up anyway, so I'm good for at least a year... :)

Has been marked down again.

Now it's 19.60 - ordered one with the CADE refill puck.

Oh, and the synthetic travel brush is on sale for 1/2 price.
