Talk amongst yourselves, I'll give you a subject: Cade, do you love it? Hate it? Discuss

It's from a Saturday night live skit with Mike Meyer. Coffee Talk, you'd have to see it. They like Barbara Streisand and they think she's like "butta" (butter)The Cade is a lovely performing soap with a GREAT scent. It's easy to find locally, reasonably priced and shaves pretty fine.
P.S. What is a butta?
I got mine on bst with bowl pretty cheap, $27. I don't know what the bowl costs new but it sure looks nice on the counter. After figuring out how to lather this soap (took me two tries) I am very impressed with it. Just start with a fairly dry brush.Wonderful soap which is easy to lather, gives excellent result. The only drawback is the expensive aluminium bowl. I highly recommend this soap.
What exactly IS the scent? I keep reading about Cade but don't want to buy it blind. Perhaps I'll order a sample from Gary.
I'm not happy when Cade is compared with Barbara Streisand.

Meh.
Used the Cade balm for over a decade and finally tried the soap. It works. Ok scent but very faint. It's just that compared to the other soaps in rotation, it gets easily trumped on fragrance, skin feel and lather properties.
Of course, this is, as one of my young co-workers likes to say, a first world opinion. Cade is an excellent soap and only those spoiled like plums on a sunny sidewalk in august by other even better soaps would criticize it.
