So apparently a Fisher Space pen can work underwater, in low earth orbit, etc. Can it handle being left in a pair of jeans that are going through the laundry? Apparently not. Now all my clothes have spots on them and I need a new cart for my pen. I should count my blessings...all that blue ink is in this cup not on my clothes!

Please don't let brianw or DunEdinRanger hear about this

This is exactly why pens that leave my house do so in a pen case. The only exception would be my Kaweco Sport, but my habit of empty my pockets onto a tray on my desk upon returning home has cured me of accidentally washing things like pocket knives or money.
