What's new

Little Italian Troublemaker.

I had my sights on getting a Stipula Passporto. I purchased this one from a fellow B&B member a few months ago, as new/un-inked. I thought it was time to ink it up & get it going. Well, to my dismay I cannot get this thing going.

I tried a couple different ink cartridges, flushing the nib, & even ran it through the ultra sonic cleaner......notta!

I thought this was a "plug & play" but so far I'm not having any luck. I'm going to email Stipula to see if they can

help me, but in the meantime if anyone else has any other suggestions I could try I'd appreciate it.

TIA
Tim

Sounds like there might be some sort of obstruction. Does the Nib and feed remove from those easily? I would double check for something blocking the ink or a manufacturer defect, something like that.

I googled and your not the only one with this problem, but others stated a simple flush is all they needed, but several all mentioned an obstruction from some compound from the factory as they were all new in the box as well. I did find a section on how to take it apart which you may have to do to get the thing clean after doing what you already have done. If not send back and wait may be your only option

i did try taking it apart, but didn't want to reef too hard on it and break it. if you had a link you could PM me on how to take it apart it would be appreciated.......

I read on another site that there was an extra o ring in there that made the nib and feed fit tighter. It might be better to dip the nib and "prime" it to get it working. I've heard that tools were used by some to get the nib and feed out.

Try and put a new cart in, squeeze ink into the feed or dip the nib before trying to pull the unit out unless you feel comfortable with the process.

Fridays are Fishtastic!
I hope not. doesn't fiat stand for "Fix it Again Tony"?..........i'm kidding too ~ i hope it works too, i like the pen.
when it comes to Ferraris and Lamborghinis, one hours of driving usually equals 1.5 hours of maintenance.

Tim showed me the pen today, I drew a few lines with it and it works perfectly. I should have offer him $20 for it and would have walked away with a new pen.

This guy doesn't know what he's doing or talking about and he's the "Pen Man"? Give me a break

Can't believe it.....after a couple of emails back and forth to Stipula and still no solution, Bruce swipes the pen off my desk, and starts scratchin' out some dribble. Yeah, it works fine......I was just trying to let Bruce feel good about "fixing" my pen. He looked like he had a bad day & needed it!

What a great guy I am!
