Liojung shaving.anyone?

I've just come across the 'Liojung' brand of shav brushes on the bay. I was wondering anyone have info or used them? The price seems good and I was looking at a kinda persian jar shaped 26/55 silver tip in either black, butterscotch or faux horn.

Any info appreciated.

I am pretty sure these are the same as the Lijun. If they are, they are great brushes. I bought the 26 mm just to see if I would like a knot that big (turns out I don't), and it is a soft monster with good back bone - a real soap killer! I bought a few more with smaller knots (one of those being a 22 mm / 54 mm loft in butterscotch) that are regulars in my rotation. One of my last Lijun purchases appears to be a shedder, but I don't regret buying any of them (well, maybe the too big 26 mm monster). One other warning, the knot feels like a marble sized glue ball. It doesn't bother me, but other members here have voiced their displeasure. Good luck on your decision.

Vin, thanks for your observations. I've also noticed this vendor on Ebay, and the two-band for around $20 is very tempting.

I look forward to others sharing their experience with the vendor.

Turtle, the vendor who sells the "Liojuny" brushes is Classicshop2012. I believed that last year he listed his brushes as "Lijun."

Ah it is LIOJUNY. No wonder nothing showed up for Liojung (g on the end as the OP asked about)

I bought my Lijun brush from Classicshop2012 a couple of years ago (2011). At that time what I got was their top hair (silver tip) 24mm knot set at 56mm

For the money ($35 shipped from China) it was a nice silver tip brush. I still have it and I do still use it.

I bought mine, a year ago...its a Finest Badger grade, 24 mm / 54 mm. For the price i have purchase it, i consider it a " Good" buy, a little big for my taste for face lathering but has a good backbone and so far it has lost 6-10 bristles. The knot is very dense, so i consider this brush to be on the side of a lather hog. In my opinion for the price they are selling, you can not go wrong.

Sorry my poor spelling, it's defo Liojuny. Here's a pic of the faux horn.

To the UK inc postage £23.56 or you can have butterscotch / black for £22.25. As I say 26/55 silver tip.

I got a horn handled 26x55 slivertip (my measurements), and it's a fine brush, no shedding, very soft, dense but not a particular lather hog. Felt like a bargain to me. It is big, I use it for face washing sometimes.

I might just go for it at this rate. I know the price is right but I'm not convinced about the clour range. Think I'll ask about a custom in white.

I bought to of these Liojuny brushes and they perform very well. Mine are silvertip, 24mm knot, and it,is,very smooth. For the price that youmpay I think it is a bargain.

Have taken the plunge after getting a speedy reply from the vendor, and ordered the brush 26/55silver tip but with a white or off white handle. It should arrive just as I get back off my annual leave to the Isle of White.

my brush was a shedder but alas everyone has a different experience, great price though but I realized for a few bucks more getting a TGN knot on a custom handle is just sooooooo much better

It's all about postage and customs here to the UK pbnj. I have to balance the purchace price with that the custom man may want another £20 and then £15 handling charge from the mail man ontop, such is the UK boarder agency's whim on supplies from the USA. As for your brush being a shedder, all I can say is I've has a Simpsons Special in best before coming to B&B and it was a terrible shedder. They replaced it but it was never the same, sold it on. I'll see what comes along. Both my FS brushes have been great and neither have shed too much. In fact my FS faux horn tubby has yet to shed a single hair in over twelve months.:001_smile
