I recall seeing a home made Lilac Vegetal video on here. I wanted to show it to my wife, but I can't find it by searching. Does anyone have a link handy? The video included a scene of the person shooting the Vegetal if that helps.
not to derail this, but i have NEVER seen this aftershave in my town. I have often been intrigued, but never ordered online because of all the negative press. Could someone PLEASE give an accurate non joking comment on the scent.
This is my personal opinion.
I don't care what anyone else thinks, this is me.
The smell of Lilac Vegetal right from the top of a plastic bottle can be unpleasant. Sitting for a long time in the bottle does something that gives it a bad odor at the bottle.
This can be aleviated by transferring to a glass bottle.
Either way, once it is out of the bottle it has a very different smell.
It has a very Lilac floral top note, but on drydown, there is an earthy, woodsy undertone that makes the flowery top note seem a natural for a mans after shave.
This can be a polarizing scent.
The vast majority either love it or hate it, while there are a small section that think it just has a brief artificial smell, and then disappears quickly.
If you try some, and you like it, you will completely understand why its fans rave about it.
If you are one of those that just can't get past that smell right from the bottle top without trying it on, then you're probably going to join those that can't help but post slanderous reviews.
Good Luck.
I've seen it at a couple of Walgreens in this area. I recently picked up a empty, vintage Lilac Vegetal bottle so now all I have to do is track down a bottle locally and transfer it to the glass bottle . . . then I'll see if I'm man enough for it.
Those Vintage LV Bottles filled with glorious fresh Veg juice look fantastic in the shave den!
Phil do you mind if I ask what's in that really tall bottle that looks like it's full of olive oil?
That's Pinaud Clubman in an plain glass Olive Oil dispensing Bottle!
I find the pouring spout really makes it easy to pour without waste, and there's a rubber cap that prevents evaporation.

The bottle to the left of it is a repurposed virgin Olive Oil bottle filled with Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum.
Good idea, thanks. Similarly my LV is in a clear glass bottle that used to hold balsamic vinegar. At the moment it has a cork, but I should get a pour spout for it.
Bed Bath & Beyond sells the oil spouts in packs of three, the problem with them is they have the cheap "Diesel truck exhaust flap" type cover, rather than the rubber cap.
I approve of this comment.
