Light floral AS?

I'm looking for a light floral AS. When I say light, I mean not overpowering- I'm ok with it having staying power, in fact I would rather it did. I just don't want anything too cloying- I don't want to smell like a funeral home or an old woman. Any suggestions??? If you know of a light floral cologne I'd like to hear about it as well.

NOT Lilac Vegetal!

Alpa Fialka from shoeboxshaveshop.com fits this bill nicely IMHO. It is lavender based but very masculine at the same time. It is listed as a cologne but it is light enough to use as a splash and lasts for several hours on me. Link - http://www.shoeboxshaveshop.com/alfivedc50ml.html

So I ordered some of this from shoeboxshaveshop.. It was only $5 for the bottle so I was pretty happy....... Until I saw that they have a $15 minimum order...... I figured "OK, I can find another $10 worth of stuff, no problem!"

I just submitted the order...... It ended up being over $60......

So when the wife sees the credit card bill and questions me about it... Just letting you know I'm blaming you!!!!

Not to add to your bills, but you might also consider 4711 aftershave and/or cologne. It's light and floral, but best of all it's relatively cheap!

Enjoy the ride, Lurch, but hang on tight!!

Its easy to do that at any shave shop. Did you notice his pricing on Omega boar brushes? I'd better stop before your wife gives me a black eye. I'd love to hear your feedback when you get it. You can add a drop of glycerin to your palm before applying to your face if you have dry skin. I have oily skin so apply as is, but a little goes a long way.

Well, I had already decided that I needed a brush with a bit more backbone than my silvertip, so one of the things I got was a vulfix 404. Got the package today so I'll try it and the aftershave tomorrow. I'll say this about the shoebox shave shop- packaging was great- everything wrapped in bubble wrap and the aftershave was in a ziplock bag- which was awesome because it leaked a little. If he hadn't taken as much time packaging, my brush and everything else would have been soaked with the stuff. Also, he threw in some blades, a speick soap sample, an arko shave stick and a full size tube of arko aftershave cream. I even got a little magnet with his straight razor shaving frogs on it. So even better than you pointing me to an aftershave, you've helped me find a new favorite shave shop, so thanks!

My pleasure, I'll look forward to your report tomorrow. I think I'll use the Alpa myself in the morning. Oh, and yeah shoebox is seriously underrated as far as vendors go.

light floral lavender. great stuff.

If you get a little bored with the small Alpa try this one,

It's a massive glass bottle and the smell is great . Brilliant. It's a COlogne that most seem to use as an AS. GO on try it. Also the Alpa Windsor range is very, very nice. I use the shave cream, AS and cologne. It drys off quick and leaves a baby powder scent thats nice for all the right reasons.

Well, I tried the Alpa this morning. I must admit I was a little concerned when I first put it on- it seemed pretty overpowering. After the dry down though, it turned into a pleasant powdery floral scent that I would catch a hint of throughout the day- which is great. It makes me happy when that happens. So a good suggestion, I will continue to use it.

I will look at the Gold Dachs and the Foid (I've heard much about those fragrances, so I need to learn about them.)

StuMcB- I actually ordered a bottle of the Alpa Fougere with my package- I noticed it when looking for the other Alpa frag. It also looked interesting so I bought a bottle, but I haven't used it yet.

I used the Alpa myself this morning, I love the dark floral scent. It only lasts for a handful of hours, but I keep trying to smell myself it is so good. I will add the Fougere to my next order!
