Leaving Proraso Soap Uncovered

I decided to transfer my Proraso soap into an Old Spice mug for easier loading, plus it's a great way to use my new Old Spice mug everyday. Does anyone have any experience doing something similar with Proraso soap? Any adverse affect on the soap since it's always uncovered?

With daily use it should be OK as long as it's kept in a dry place away from heat and direct sunlight.
