Lavanda Shave Cream

I was able to make contact with the parent company of Lavanda to obtain product for my on line store, I am sad to report it is out of production, gone the way of the buffalo so to speak.

Joe,

Almost a year ago, I was happily carrying Lavanda shaving cream but it got harder and harder to get, until one day that it was gone.
I called the factory and asked if there was any cream left and they said "No, since the merge with Confianca we are realigning strategies concerning creams and other products".

It's gone. Forever.

Yep, sadly it is gone :thumbdown.

Leon, about this "strategy realignment" do you have any inside info about TS cream? It just seems to be disappearing from shelves everywhere... Well, at least we still have Veleiro and "O Melhor".

Leon, brg...everything OK!? Indeed, the shaving cream Lavanda is hard to find here nowadays...It seems Ach. Brito have some serious heart-feelings about PT market since the 90s, when the company almost went bankruptcy...They just abandoned this market.

Anyway Veleiro or TS will do the job nicely too!!

Lavanda's performance is very similar to Musgo Real's.

how do the other creams mentioned from Portugal compare?

Not to derail a thread but I was curious to know what the Portuguese members think of the Lea shave stick or cream? Can you find it everywhere over there?
I received one in a trade & am quite impressed. I really like the lather it produces. :001_smile

Lavanda vs Musgo?!Similar indeed. TS/Veleiro vs Musgo/Lavanda!?Just some small differences on scents but same quality...lanolin and so on. As they merged, Confiança and Ach.Brito will produce similar products, centralizing production, the only difference will be their Vintages packages and old drafts, peculiar to each one.

The niche market will be too considered:Confiança for standard markets, Ach. for Vintage/Deluxe customers. But just marketing...I will wait to compare about their general qualities, it's just branding but needs a nice comparison test or a cream war!!

Thank you, as i understand: TS and Veleiro are similar to each other, but different than Musgo/Lavanda?

how are the TS and Veleiro scents?

TS/Veleiro are quite similar on lathering...Vs Musgo/Lavanda? Those ones are softers creams to say so. I would like to tell they (Mus/Lav) are light years far from Confiança creams (TS/Vel)but it wouldn't be true.

Scents? Aquatic fresh, sea breeze maybe...

If my nose is right, Veleiro has a more "marine" scent (hence the name), and TS smells a bit like roses. If you are referring to "O Melhor", the scent is indeed very similar to Veleiro, but with much heavier cologne/musk notes, which I prefer.
