Knot for a travel brush

I have an old Rubberset handle. Its just a utilitarian black handle. Not particularly attractive.

I want to use it as a travel brush in my Dopp bag. I have a plastic medicine container that I put holes and a silica pack in to carry the brush.

Should I use a TGN nylon knot or would a regular Badger or Boar knot be ok?

I use a smaller badger brush. I try to dry it out as much as possible on last day of the trip with a towel and store in pill contanier with holes drilled in it. Just take it out to fully dry when you get home.

You might want to look at these for a travel brush that needs to dry quickly.

Here is a restoration using the 20 mm knot.

I would suggesst that you look into a synthetic knot not a natural one.

I traveled for 3 months with a Duke 1 and a Beaufort B4 and both took too long to dry out complete so they were always out and never in their travel tubes. Luckily the RV had a railed gallery where they could sit out all day and not be in the way.

I have since purchased a 19mm Muhle synthetic that will be my travel brush in the future. It seems to dry in a few hours not days
