Knot choice?

I'm on the wolfwhiskers artisan brush handle list. I have two 26mm knots to fit the handle. A chisel and hound v19, and a maggard razor shd silvertip. Which one would you choose for this handle, or another knot all together. No synthetics! 26mm is the size of choice.

I just had Rudy Vey reknot three brushes for me... He removed the knots and installed a 28mm in one of them, 26mm ShaveMac Two-band Silvertip in two of them. This is the problem.... we all have preferences for the face feel of a brush while we are lathering. I like soft tips but a gentle scrub as well. I don't like lots of scrub... just a hint, but it's very hard to convey exactly what I like in print. My favorite brushes have been my SV 26mm Manchurian brushes for a while now... months.. I just love them. They have become my standard against what I measure any other brush. The ShaveMac Two-band Silvertips give me that same face feel.

Not knowing what face feel you enjoy, I wouldn't call the above a recommendation. Some people want lots of scrub... others want a totally soft feel.

Since you already have the knot, I'd put the C&H V19 in it.

btw...How long did you have to wait for that brush?

Both are great knots, I have the V17 and a 26mm SHD fan. I think I would do the V19 in this handle, and then find another great handle for the SHD. BTW, the WW handles are awesome!
