Keys & Wallet - what to do?

I'm seeking recommendations for what to do with keys & wallet. We have recently acquired new dressers and I would like recommendations on what to place on the dresser to store keys and wallet at days end. What do you recommend?

i'm thinking a dish could be used for both, but i think a wallet in a dish is odd, i just put mine ontop of my dresser

How about an old vintage heavy duty ash tray. You could go out and hunt it together. Stop at WalMart or the craft store after you find one and pick up a $.79 sheet of felt with the sticky on the back side and cut it to fit the bottom so you won't scratch your dresser.

I have a shaped leather bowl that I purchased from a craftsman many years ago on a trip to Nova Scotia. When I get home and change out of my work duds, my keys, change, knife, and other pocket paraphernalia get tossed into the bowl. The wallet just sits on top of the dresser.

You can do a search online for Leather Valet Tray and there are lots of options - basically nice leather boxes or molded leather trays to hold your keys, wallet, etc.

Butler.

Jeeves, keys and wallet, please.

(of course any butler worth their salt would hand them to you before you had to ask)

I have a valet for everything (change, wallet, handkerchief, pocket knife, phone) except my keys. They go in a key box by the garage.

I put my wallet, money clip and keys into a old cigar box on my nightstand that matches the surrounding furniture. I also end up leaving receipts in there until I get the motivation to file them away.

I put my wallet, keys, and phone in a decorative glass bowl when I come home from work everday. I think I put it for 25 cents at a garage sale but I really like it because I used to misplace my keys daily and now I always know where they are.

I use the same bowl my Grandpa did. I hang my keys on a brass eagle key holder that is on the wall under my Bedroom light switch. Before I got my Grandpa's bowl I used a wood valet platter I got at a garage sale my sr year of HS.

A wicker tray is what I use. It was actually produced to be a paper plate holder.

A nice looking piece of cloth also works for me.

The amount of "stuff" a person can cram into a single set of scrubs is sometimes incomprehensible.:blushing:

Since I practically live in an emergency room, I usually just "unload" right onto one of the kitchen counters. My wife really does not dig this.:tongue_sm

On my days off, I just stash everything into one of my dresser drawers.

Hmm. Maybe I need to get me one of those "valets" you speak of.......
