Negative on the fries!! My French-Canadian friends have me eating spiced mayonnaise with my fries! Either Chipotle or Curry powder mixed with they mayo is DELISH!
I know this is a ketchup thread, but have you tried mustard in the mac and cheese? I think it works rather well. It Gives it a sharper taste, melds with the cheese and doesn't overpower it.

I'm not a big ketchup fan but found that adding more vinegar and fresh ground dry peppers (like a mix of habanero, ancho and pasilla) adds a great kick and more tolerable for me. enjoy!
have you tried chimichurri sauce ? it's commonly used on fatty steak cuts in Latin America- very tasty. Also aji sauce from Peru. I CANNOT live without this stuff. I use it on everything

I usually put about as much, or a little less, mustard as you have ketchup, in your pic, then just stir it in with the cheese. Worst case you could cover it up with the ketchup if you don't like it.

I second the mustard. Back to ketchup, my favorite food for it is hash browns.

I never put it on a hot dog unless is a crappy one like a ballpark. Hebrew national and Nathan's is where it is at.

I actually do quite a lot of cooking and BBQ and I do, in fact, use ketchup when I make my bbq sauce. I combine it with the juice/spices/meat drippings that come off my ribs during the 'texas crutch' phase of rib making. I'm a huge fan of tomato based bbq sauces
