Kamisori various steel combination (england, swedish, yasuki, stainless ...)

My choices in razor steel, not in any particular order:

- Vintage Swedish Steel
- Vintage cast steel/acier fondue
- Hitachi/Yasuki White #2, aka Y.S.S H2 etc.
- Filarmonica Sub Cero
- French steel

Edge retention:

Vintage Swedish steel - excellent, but haven’t tested.
Vintage French - as good as the Swedish, but haven’t tested.
Filarmonica Sub Cero - excellent, I got 153 shaves from an edge, look for the post.
Filarmonica Doble Temple - 50-60 shaves.
Japanese generic Swedish steel - average, 50-60 shaves per edge.
Yasuki white 2 - excellent, but haven’t tested
Sheffield - all over the place from late 1700s to whenever they stopped. Pot luck, try cast steel, some are as good as it gets, even today.

You asked for a lot, hope this helps, lol.
I owned a Sub Cero that I traded because it lost the edge too soon, I have better edge retention with Novodur. It could be that Sub cero in particular was faulty.
