What's new

Just tried P.160 for the first time.

I somehow managed to talk my wife into letting me open one of my presents tonight instead of tomorrow. I just happened to pick the present that weighed just ever so slightly more than 1 kilogram exactly.

This stuff is awesome.

It smells wonderful. It lathers like a dream. Lubricates and lets the blade glide over your face perfectly.

WHY exactly is this stuff no longer in production?

The same reason Taylor reformulated their once fabulous rose and avocado creams, Coates discontinued their line, and Penhaligons and Trumper removed tallow from their soaps- to tick me off.

You are lucky, my wife won't let me near my presents:angry:

P.160, just like Cella and Valobra stick, is AMAZING. It has always been the most loved, most used and most sought after soap among Italian Master Barbers and experienced wet shavers. There are no words to describe how excellent this soap is. And no words to say how painful it is now that this gem is no longer produced. I tried to get an explanation from Biochimica Spa, the manufacturer, but got no real answer. My only hope is that, one day in the near future, P.160 will see the light again.

I have a feeling we'll see it again. Once all remaining stock is gone and people (including said Master Barbers) start throwing a fit, the mills will begin churning it out once more.

My second favourite soap after Cella. Superb performance in lather protectiveness, slickness and moisturising. This is one soap that will be missed, no question. Why has it been discontinued? Who knows. It seems common place these days that anything worth having bites the dust. :thumbdown

It really is a great soap.I have enough to last me 20 years.
Enjoy it while you can.

I, like others, had been reading about this soap for awhile. Then the conversations turned to its pending demise. I ordered a couple kilos from RazoRock.

When it came in, I used it, of course . Everything I had read about it was true!

I cut up most of the first kilo and passed it around to family and friends. I have one portion in the barber shop!

Then panic set in. :scared: What am I going to do when I run out?

So I ordered two more Kilos.
