That's beautiful... I've found that the only way that it really kept lather warm for me was if water was boiled or near boiling prior to use. The glaze on the Georgetown scuttles is second to none though.

Man...that is artistic beyond words...enjoy! I have a GtP v4 and concur with Rich, but I still love the damn thing and really hot tapwater gives me lukewarm lather which I'm content with when I look at the scuttle!

Thanks for the comments. I always use boiling or semi poling water for what used to be my ghetto scuttle (floating a bowl in hot water). So, he heat shouldnt be too much an issue for me.

It definitely is pretty though ;)

Looks beautiful, I how ever would like hot lather not just warm. Thats why I stayed away from GP scuttles. Its too bad really they sure are lookers.

im disappointed that out of all those pics..not one of them had fresh creamy lather and a fully loaded brushed dipped in it

I looked at the reviews here, and finally ended up buying a Dirty Bird brush scuttle after reading that the Georgetowns cannot keep the lather as warm as the Dirty Bird or Moss scuttles.

But the Georgetowns are certainly the most gorgeous scuttles around. The glaze and colors are perfect.

Hope you enjoy it !

I did the same (this time), but the glaze alone is enough to buy at least one of these :thumbup1:

Thanks for the replies...

Might I note... If we all have staggering amounts of DE's, Str8s, Strops, Hones, Soaps, AS, Blades etc... No harm in having 2 or three scuttles ;) I plan on buying a Dirty Bird and German Scuttle down the road. There really is no reason NOT to have a few -- specially considering all the other stuff we have.

Many people talk of having just ONE scuttle, why not have a few? ;)

That's a good point... I may get another Georgetown one day.:tongue_sm

I originally posted a question about which to purchase. Then while I was waiting for this to be delivered I thought about why not have 2 or 3... Its not like you can only own one ;)
