I just ordered a Semogue 830. Hearing about how the brush loses some of its backbone when broken in, and how soft the tips were, I decided to give the brush a go. My 1305 is a nice brush, but oddly mine has a little scritch to it, and I really wish the knot would open up more than it has. What can I say, I like 'em a little floppy. I figure the 830 should be right up my alley.

Once its broken in, assuming yours breaks in the way mine did, odds are very high you'll love that 830. I have to consciously grab a different brush just so I don't ignore all my others. lol

You can be a collector, but for me the 830 is all you need. Loved mine right out of the box.
If that's what you are after....Your gonna love this brush enjoy.
It is a very nice brush and i am very surprised that your 1305 has not opened up a bit more. Good luck.
my 1305 is floppy after almost 2 years of use....it's starting to shed too unfortunately
