Julie at Dirty Bird

I had ordered one of Julie's original scuttles, and was awaiting delivery. She kept me posted when it went out, and it arrived today just a couple of days after it was sent.

When I opened it the handle was broken in several pieces, quite the bummer as I've been anxious to use this scuttle.

Right away I sent her an E-mail to advise her of what had happened. I was expecting to have to send it back, and contact UPS, etc.

Julie E-mailed me back within an hour, and stated she was sorry for what happened, and that she'd make me a new one right away. No mention was made of contacting UPS, or sending it back, she just said she'd make a new one. She even said that if I could somehow use the broken handled one to go ahead and get some use out of it until the new one arrives.

What a great way to do business, no problem, no hassle, just taking care of business the way it should be taken care of.

Julie and Dirty Bird have my highest regards, and if anyone else is thinking of buying from her, by all means do. I'm satisfied and pleased 110%. I'd do business with Julie again without any hesitation.

My scuttle was customized, she used her fingers rather than a tool to make grooves. So I have a more subtle spiral cut than the standard.

She does good work!

I've never read anything negative about Julie and her scuttles. When I get the funds together for a scuttle, I'll be heading her way because of stories like this one. Be sure to post some photos when the scuttle arrives!

I had been leaning toward one of Julie's scuttles anyway (I like the looks) but hearing this has sealed the deal. Customer Service rules!!!

Julie is a class act and easy to work with. Even though I use a regular size Moss scuttle now, I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience of ordering a 1.5 DB scuttle and the customer service Julie provided with it.
