Jean Patou. On the way back May 2013

Jean Patou Pour Homme was by all means a fine fragrance. A bit formal, and I might have to duck here, but I certainly have worn fragrances that I considered better. In fact I sold my bottle on another site. I thought, and still do think that JHL by Aramis is the finest fragrance ever created for a man. I also think that Heritage EDP.... Derby (vintage), and several others will stand shoulder to shoulder with Patou pour Homme...IMHO

Being since I have never sampled JPPH, I really cannot compare it to anything, (Vintage Prices on the bay are ridiculous). My only hope is that it does not come off as a gourmand. I have read that it had/has vanilla and tonkabean in the base. Two Notes I Abhor .

Thanks for the heads up on this one Cheeva. I look forward to sampling. I had not tried the vintage. Was just one of those that I let slide by. My bank account wishes I had done the same with a few others along the way...
