J A Henckels Display straight razor

Greetings all,

I have recently acquired a huge display razor, wondering if anyone has ideas as to where I can find some provenance on it.

It must be approx 1900 (the twins style), cheers

I've seen pictures of other razors like this. They are apparently like real razors, heat treated and sharpened like a normal size one.

Essentially they are display pieces designed to show the skill of the cutlers in a particular factory. In Victorian times royal/world/trade expositions were all the rage, and winning medals at those events was a really big deal. If a cutler was a medal winner they proudly stamped it on their blades as a marketing tool, so no expense was spared making flash stuff to show off.
