What's new

It's been just a little over a week.

Since I began my DE conversion, and all my razor bumps and neck irritation are cured! Can't believe I waited so long and wasted do many hundreds of dollars on cartridges!

I can relate and I think many of us can on that, just be glad you discovered it when you did lol. I'm not looking back thats for sure. :)

My routine honestly did not change very much at all. Before I used AoS products with a Fusion, now I use a more varied wardrobe of shave creams and pre and post shave products. But I believe switching to the single blade DE razor was the key.Multiblade cartridges left me with irritation, bumps, and ingrown hairs for about as long as I had used them.

It's nice not to have the irritation, and ingrown hairs anymore.

As far as advice, I'm new as well, I would say take your time. Also the angle of the razor makes a lot of difference.

just mapped my beard tonight, that will help a lot.
For years it appears in a few areas I was going XTG and never WTG in certain areas. Can't wait to shave now knowing the growth patterns. I had the wife map it out and draw it, she's an interior designer so it's all colored coded and stuff and looks pretty life like,

Look on the bright side, now you can spend hundreds of dollars on vintage razors, soaps and brushes.

Already manged to acquire three different creams a Semogue 1305 with a Simpson x2l colonel on order. The money pit has been dug.

Ironically I was perfectly content for an entire year with a 34C, Colonel Conk pure brush ($20) and TOBS Almond cream. That was it. Then... it all went down. Conversely, I have lots of enjoyable products to shave with now!
