I found a ball end tech just the other day. It has the black handle of a Contract Tech, but it has a gold tech head. The head looks very typical for a ball end tech, but did the black contract tech ever come with a gold head?
Is this a Frankenrazor?

To my knowledge, Gillette didn't make a single two-tone razor. Wait for one of the pros to weigh in on this though.

I did find a couple of Gillette 2 Tone Techs. They made a Fat Handle Tech and Plastic Handle Tech that had black handle and gold head. I just can't find any evidence of this one though.
Here is a Contract Tech with silver bottom plate, and I have seen them with a silver top cap.
I have yet to see one in gold, but that doesn't mean they didn't exist.
The gold and black fat handle you mentioned is one fine looking razor.
