Is there more than one type of permasharp super?

Arley was kind enough to PIF me some blades I had never tried. Of the blades he sent, I was most impressed by the Permasharp Super. It felt sharp like a Feather but smooth. Loved it.

So I ordered 20 of them.

First thing I noticed was that the packaging looked a little different. The paper that wraps the blade was a much darker color than I remembered. Second hung I noticed was that this blade didn't feel at all like the one I had tried. This one felt positively dull. Scraped my hairs out by the roots. Very uncomfortable. I couldn't even finish a single shave with it.

So, are there two different types? If so, how do you order the good ones?

Thanks. I apparently got the Turkish ones. I don't like them at all. They feel like a Dorco.

The disparity between the Russian and the Turkish blades is just phenomenally large.

The Russian Perma-Sharp Supers have been excellent for me as well. I even purchased 1000 on eBay a few months ago when the bulk purchase price was no more than about 17.5 cents per blade. Bestshave.net's price is now about the same as the bulk price. Still an excellent deal.
