What's new

Is there a scented soap that smells as good.

... when you apply the lather as the puck does? I've got some sandlewood that smells great when you smell the puck, but the smell fades when you use it, or smells like wet dog when mixed with my new boar brush. Also, what about a soap/cream that the smell stays with you after the shave like a soap and cologne/aftershave mix?

If my memory serves me correctly, the lather from Pre de Provence smells as good as the scent from the puck. I love the smell of that soap.

+1 on PdP, it has a wonderful scent.

Some other good ones, off the top of my head, are L'Occitane Cade, TOBS Jermyn Street, AOS, and Calani.

Soap scents don't generally linger on your face. That's what AS/cologne is for. As for the "wet dog" smell: you mentioned your brush is new. That "wet dog" scent will fade after a few uses.

In the puck, it is very concentrated. In the lather, it is not. I have come to not even concern myself with the scent of the soaps because of this very reason.

Shaving Soaps, and Shaving Creams are designed to have their scents not linger. They are typically gone within minutes of completing your shave.

The scent of Aftershave will linger for an hour or two, and cologne is designed to be detectable for 4+ hours.

I tend to find AS scents lingering for a long time after my shaves. I've had people comment on it when wearing either my PdP or the T&H 1805 I have and that was several hours after shaving. Not so much with the RR though.
