Is there a correlation between DE shaving skill, and using a fineliner?

I was wondering if you knew if the skills I learned, learning to shave oh so long ago, would translate to learning how to use a fineliner, that has (by my standards) relative to my Steadtler Mars 780 a delicate nib.

No.

Shaving skills/technique and writing skills/technique do not correlate.

If anything, the relationship would be between a straight, not a DE; simply because the price of a motor skill error is so much higher...

Sure there's a correlation. Probably not causation, however.

I'd say they are related only in that you need to develop a fine motor skill you may not have yet. The process of doing that -- lengthy repetition -- is exactly the same in concept if different in application.
