Is my shave brush ruined.

Hi,
I have a New York Shaving Company Fine badger hair brush. http://nyshavingcompany.com/shop/index.php/shaving-brushes/elizabeth-street-fine-badger-black.html

I usually place the brush in a stand on the window still in my bathroom for storage and drying. But with the recent extremely hot days in New York I feel like the direct sunlight on the brush has made it a bit stiff. It no longer lathers like it use to. Do you have any recommendations on how to bring it back to life? I was thinking about using my hair shampoo and conditioner to see if that works but I wanted to ask on the forum before I do anything.

Any help and tips are greatly appreciated.

I have heard others talk about using hair conditioner on a stiff brush. No first hand knowledge on this subject though

Try cleaning it several times in a gentle general purpose hair shampoo with distilled water. Then let it dry to see if it was hard water mineral build up.
