Interesting Scales on Etsy

I just came across these razors on etsy and I think they have intersting scales. I'm not sure that I like them, but they do insist on a long stare.

Have any of you purchased from this fellow?

I have never purchased from the guy but I really like the blue and red scales, at first I didn't even notice it was a circuit board.

I'm still trying to figure out if I like the scales on the Tucco blade. I'm keen on making a purchase but there's no information about the blade, so it's a bit of a gamble...

I think the PCB scales are way cool. I like the contrast of classic/timeless shaving implement blended with 21st century technology. That said, I probably wouldn't get a set for any of my razors. Also, I'm not crazy about the pins and pin positions on a number of the razors.

I like the idea, but the fit, finish, and overall craftsmanship leaves a lot to be desired.

No offense to this person if he/she is a member here, but the cuts are crooked, there isn't any contouring or smoothing, the pinning looks terrible, and the holes for the pins are nowhere near centered.

While the idea is novel (and great if it is/was a project for personal use), offering these razors for sale and for profit is, well, I'm not sure what term would be "gentlemanly". :thumbdown

I'm with you exactly. Sad, too, because the blades he uses are in rather good condition. I think you've put into words what I've been feeling about them. I like idea, but the execution is off.
