Interesting Observation On First Feather Blade Use

So after using Merkur and Derby blades for a coupe months I tried our the feather. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't cut up my face and didn't get any more weepers than usual.

The one thing I did notice was that the blade didn't seem to stick out as far as the others I have tried. I felt like I had to fiddle with the angle more to find the sweet spot. Has anyone else encountered this? I am liking the feather but am wondering if I might need a more aggressive razor to compensate.

Depends on your razor, really. I've tried some other blades in my Feather razors and didn't notice any difference in how far the blade sticks out, really (I was in a pinch and didn't have my PaulDog stock pile at that time). Not sure.

I will second that, while I've not tried Swedes, Feathers are incredibly kind for being as horrifyingly sharp as they are. That said, I'm pretty scared to try out a Feather SE blade in my Gem Junior. Might just be the end of me!

I found them very similar to my derby's when going wtg. However xtg and Atg are where these little suckers excelled for me. I will stand by my derby blades but if I had more than a days growth I'll be loading a feather.

And where would I find Feather SE blades?
