Inline Skates

I pulled out old pair of cheap rollerblades the other day and took them for a spin. I haven't used them in ages, but it was a lot of fun. Sadly they aren't kind to me feet. Any extended wear is going to leave me with scores of blisters.

Any recommendations for a good and relatively inexpensive pair of inline skates and why these ones?

From what I know, you don't want any inexpensive inline skates; not only are the boots cheap and uncomfortable, but the wheels don't spin so you don't get any roll for your work. My suggestion would be to abandon the inline skates and get a good skateboard.

Edit: I don't mean you need to start shredding half-pipes, I mean more of the longboard style - good for crusing the streets: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longboard_(skateboard)

Skateboards can only be ridden successfully by somebody in their early 20s or less. Those of us of a more advanced age will probably have to make a stop to the emergency room if we were to ride one.

Yeah, skateboards definitely aren't in the realm of possibility for me, but thanks for the info. Just looking for a decent pair of rollerblades.
