Injector collection?

Anyone out there have a really impressive injector collection? I've always had a passing interest in them, but can't recall seeing a focus on injectors in any of the collection galleries I've seen. So... anyone out there have a really impressive injector collection?

I do have a few injectors, 1 NOS, a couple mint Schicks.

Not something I really tried to achieve, just kind of fell into them.

I like injector a lot for shaving but since I havent find any that is real good looking , I Just have 2 of them.

These are great tools but the aesthetic part doesn't attract me for collecting.
Maybe the cobra classic but the price is out of range!

I have a nice little collection of early Schick razors. I have a couple of others. (Note in the bottom picture that the razor in the khaki pouch is not a Schick.)

Yep, I have similar ones but still looking out for a Type A. Yours looks really good.

I managed to fill my type B with blades and the loader worked just fine after 70 years or so, brilliant!

I haven't used the Type B yet but regularly use a Type E and it gives a great shave. I have used the lovely Art Deco Type F but I don't think it's as good a shave as the Type E.

Hey Brent. How about telling us about the one in the third pic, in the middle, sitting on the black box? That is REALLY nice; I want one!

Does it shave well? What kind of blades does it use?

Or, direct me to some places to do research. Thanks much!

Jim

That middle Schick with the Art Deco box is a Model F from 1940-41. The handle is only listed as an "alloy", but it looks a lot like aluminum. The head and short, riveted arm are brass.

It looks like it would take standard injector blades, but I don't have any and haven't tried shaving with it.

But have been toying with the idea of tracking down some injector blades and giving it a shot.

As far as places for research, there are a couple of sites:

http://www.safetyrazors.net/schick/schicktech.htm

http://iavbbs.com/gflinn/schick.htm

And Robert Waits' "A Safety Razor Compendium":

http://shaveworld.org/shaveworld_web/compendium_info4.htm

Waits' Compendium is a great resource for many U.S. razor manufacturers and has good history for some of the bigger companies like Gillette, Schick, Gem, etc.
