Happy Independence Day everyone. Here is my SOTD for 4 July 2010. This is my first SOTD post.

My theme was supporting our freedom.

1918 Military issue ball-end old type Gillette razor. Bottom is stamped "PROPERTY US ARMY"
Personna blades by American Safety Razor
Air Force mug with Van Der Hagen deluxe shave soap
Red & White Ever-Ready 100 pure badger brush
Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue after shave
OD backdrop is one of my old Missile Combat Crew uniforms

To sum up my SOTD: All products are made in the USA, all items are red, white, and blue, and I'm using special military items. I had a great shave and a great start to my Independence Day!

I decided to go with a "Made in America" theme for my shave today. Some of the best stuff I've used comes from small, independently-owned shops that really care about both the product they make and those that use them.

You guys will just have to give me a pass on the razor. I don't have any that I know with 100% certainty were made in the USA. It does have "L.W. Bradley New York" stamped on it though.

I'm what you'd call a ****-poor photographer on my best day, but I wanted to show off my new AS which fits the patriotic theme perfectly. Everything is American made here. The brush is an Amboyna Burl custom piece made by Bob Quinn.

Gorgeous razor there, Ray! Is that an ABC? (And a little shameless self-promotion, perhaps?:thumbsup:)

Thank you sir. This is what I shaved with this morning Rich (no plugs needed).
What better a way to show Independence than the ability to have the freedom in this great nation to stand up and do one's own thing.

The razor is not part of the ABC series. This is a one of a kind (like me) that was made by Gillette for an American Ambassador back in the early teens.

Thanks for the info. I was sure that I didn't remember an ABC like that one. She;s a beauty and a great piece of history.
