Inconsistency in the Site (Merkur 34c VS 23c)

Many people mention in the reviews of the Merkur 23c that the head is identical to the 34c, but on the list of Double-Edged Safety Razors Ranked by Aggressiveness, the 23c blade gap is 25 thousands of an inch (.64mm) and the 34c is 28 thousands of an inch (.71mm).

I too thought that the only difference between the 23c and 34c was that the 23c had a longer, slimmer handle, but now I'm confused by this blade gap list. Has anyone done a comparison of these two razors and found any noticeable difference?

The 23C is my daily shaver. I do not know if it is better than HD, but I do know that it is a really fine tool for getting a great shave.

I asked the same question a while ago when I bought the 23c:

I think that the measurements listed there were taken by multiple posters and it's resulted in some inconsistencies.

Not to mention probable manufacturing tolerances. Razors are simple consumer grade products, not something like electron microscopes or whatever ...

I can only speak in terms of my experience (and I have the long handled version of the 34c, the 38c barber pole), but I find the 23c still to be the best shaver in my collection. The 38c for me was overly aggressive and unwieldy to use.
