i just bought this imperial razor, and didnt notice the chip until after i bought it, however!

its not a whole lot. can i grind it out? or is it better to just set the bevel after the chip? btw, i have 200/1000 and 4000/8000 norton stones :biggrin1:

what i want to do is pull the hinge pin and give it a good cleaning, lots of pitting and some rust

You could grind it out easily, just be careful of overheating. Go slow. Always keep the wheel turning toward the edge.

looking at it, could i just round out the point? i dont like straight points anyways! i dont think that would be too hard to do would it? as long as i dont overheat the blade
